Frequently asked questions

Short, practical answers: making a worksheet, giving it to students and reading the results. If what you need is not here, message us and we will answer.

Making a worksheet

How do I make a worksheet?+

Press New worksheet and write what you need: the subject, the topic and the kind of task. For example: “Macroeconomics, 2nd year: inflation and interest rates, a 15-minute quiz”. Press Create. In about a minute the worksheet is ready, with a picture on top.

How do I attach my own material?+

Add your syllabus, slides as PDF or PowerPoint, a Word file, photos of textbook pages or screenshots (PDF up to 14 MB). The questions are written from what is in the file, and each question can show which slide or page it came from.

Which language will it be in?+

Write in Uzbek, Russian or English. The worksheet comes out in the language of your request, or in another one you choose under Language.

Which question types are there?+

Leave A good mix, or pick from 11 types: multiple choice, several answers, true / false / not given, matching, gap fill (with a word list if you want one), short answer, put in order, sort into groups, label a picture, odd one out and find the error. Label a picture uses your own diagram.

How do I fix a question?+

Tap any text to change it, or tap a letter to mark the right answer. For bigger changes, write what you want in the box under the worksheet, for example “make questions 3 to 5 harder”. Changed parts are highlighted, and Undo puts them back. Read the answers before you print: AI can make mistakes.

Can I change the picture?+

Yes. Press Change picture: pick another photo, search with your own words in English, upload your own picture, or have none.

Online and on paper

How do I give it online?+

Press Assign online, choose the group or Anyone with the link, and set a deadline if you want one. You get a link: copy it, share it in Telegram, or show the QR code on the classroom screen so students scan it from there. Students answer on their phones and are marked at once.

How do I print it?+

Press Print, then choose the group, Practice or Test, and when students can scan. Open for printing gives you a one-page A4 question paper and a separate answer sheet. You can also download the pages as a PDF. Collect the question papers after class and use them again: next time, print only the answer sheets.

How does a student scan the answer sheet?+

Every answer sheet has a QR code. The student scans it with the phone camera, taps their name on the list (or types it if it is not there) and photographs the sheet: flat, in good light, with all four corner marks in the picture. The answers are read and marked, and the mark appears on the phone.

What if a student has no phone?+

Collect the sheets and scan them with your own phone. Open the QR code on the answer sheet on a phone where you are signed in to Bilimlink. For each sheet, pick the student from the list (or type their name if it is not there), photograph the sheet and send it. The mark is saved to that student; then tap “Scan the next sheet”. Students already scanned are ticked in the list. Each sheet is checked in a few seconds: 20 sheets take about 5 minutes. As the teacher you can scan even after the deadline, so homework works the same way: students hand their sheets to you and you scan them.

Scanning windows: when can students send their sheet?+

There are three. Any time: no deadline. Until a date and time: for homework, and scanning closes then. In class, when I open it: closed until you open it, for example for 15 minutes at the end of the lesson, so sheets cannot be finished at home.

What is the difference between Practice and Test?+

In Practice, after scanning a student sees their mark, the right answers and why. In Test, they see only their mark.

What if a photo cannot be read?+

If the whole sheet is not in the picture, the student is asked to take it again: flat, in good light, with all four corner marks in the photo. A sheet is marked only once it can be read.

What if a handwritten answer is unclear?+

It is flagged for you in the results, and the student is told that you will check that answer. The photo of the sheet is there for you to look at.

Results

Where do I see the results?+

Open the worksheet. Under each group it went to, you see whether students can answer now, and the results: each student's name and mark, the photo of every paper sheet, and the answers that need a look.

Can I download the marks?+

Yes, as a CSV file. It opens in Excel.

Courses

How do I make a course from my syllabus?+

Open Courses, then New course, and upload the syllabus or paste its text. It becomes a week-by-week plan. Check the weeks: change a topic, add a week or remove one.

A worksheet for each week+

Every week has its topic. Attach that week's slides or readings and the questions are made from them. The worksheet is ready in about a minute.

What if I have no syllabus?+

Make the course by hand: the course name and the topics, one per line. Each line is one week.

Dates+

Pick the day of the class and the first class, and every week gets its date.
